Burnaby is changing quickly, and too many residents feel disconnected from the decisions shaping their daily lives. I’m running for City Council to bring practical leadership, accountability, and real community input back into local government.

Understanding the Current Landscape
Burnaby has grown quickly over the last few decades — and that growth has changed how people live, move, and plan for the future.
With a population now over 250,000, Burnaby is one of the largest cities in British Columbia. Growth has brought opportunity, but it has also created real pressure on housing, transportation, and community connection. Many residents feel those pressures every day.
The challenge now isn’t whether Burnaby will continue to grow — it’s whether we manage that growth responsibly.
The Challenges We Face
Housing Affordability Rising costs have made it harder for individuals and families to find housing they can realistically afford. Too many people feel pushed to the margins of the city they call home.
Transportation As density increases, traffic congestion and limited transit options affect daily life and economic activity. Transportation needs to keep pace with growth — not fall behind it.
Environmental Responsibility Climate change affects all of us. Protecting green space and making responsible environmental choices must remain a priority as the city develops.
Community Engagement Many residents feel disconnected from City Hall. Decisions often feel distant, and people don’t always feel heard early enough in the process.
