My Vision for Burnaby
Burnaby is at a turning point.
How we respond to growth today will shape affordability, mobility, and quality of life for years to come. These four priorities reflect where I believe City Council needs to focus now.
1. Affordable Housing
Burnaby needs housing options that reflect real incomes.
I will advocate for:
Incentives that encourage the development of affordable housing
Support for community land trusts and non-profit housing initiatives
Zoning policies that allow for more diverse housing types where appropriate
2. Improved Transportation
Transportation planning must be realistic and forward-looking.
My focus includes:
Improving public transit reliability and frequency
Investing in safer cycling infrastructure
Encouraging practical solutions that reduce congestion without disrupting neighbourhoods
3. Environmental Initiatives
Burnaby can lead responsibly without sacrificing livability.
That means:
Protecting and expanding parks and green spaces
Supporting renewable energy initiatives where they make sense
Promoting waste reduction, recycling, and composting programs that residents can actually use
4. Community Engagement
Strong cities are built with residents, not around them.
I support:
Regular town halls and open forums
Opportunities for youth to engage in civic life
Cultural events that reflect Burnaby’s diversity and strengthen community connection
Why I’m the Right Candidate
I’m not running because I want a title — I’m running because I believe local leadership matters.
My work and volunteer experience have kept me connected to people across the community. I understand the challenges residents face, and I believe solutions work best when they are grounded in real experience, not ideology.
A Collaborative Approach
Good decisions come from collaboration.
I believe City Council works best when residents, businesses, and community organizations are treated as partners. Transparency, accessibility, and accountability aren’t slogans — they’re expectations.
The Road Ahead
This campaign is about more than an election. It’s about ensuring Burnaby grows in a way that remains livable, connected, and fair.
I’m committed to listening, showing up, and doing the work — consistently.
